The weekend

I thought it would never get here. You’d think with a shortened work week it would go faster, but no. Is it weird that I’ve been missing Evie? Jill’s invited me over tomorrow for marathon Battlestar Galactica Season 3/hanging pictures/babysitting. Cam will be over, too, so I think I’ll bring my camera. My photo class is essentially over, so that’s why I haven’t posted any new pictures. The last 4 lessons have been about photo editing, and I feel like I know all of this stuff. I should…I do it everyday at work!

Sunday I’m off to mom and dad’s to take pics of the fall foliage, and congratulate them on 35 years of marriage. They’re quite a testament to relationship longevity. It must run in the family — both my aunts on my dad’s side have been married at least that long, too. Most of my friends growing up had divorced parents, and I was the oddball with parents…gasp!… happily married parents. I should count myself lucky.

With the cold weather comes my lack of motivation — I haven’t been to yoga class in a month, and instead of going last night, I curled up in my easy chair and caught up on all the TV I missed last week. This happens to me every winter. You’d think maybe I’d try doing some yoga at home, but no. Even that’s too much effort. Let’s hope I can break out of this funk before December, or I’ll be fatter than a Tom Turkey by Christmas 🙂
