Dinner with friends….and kids

Had dinner the other night with friends Candi, Maggie, and Ellen. Candi brought her one-and-a-half-year-old son, Miles, and Maggie brought her 10-month-old Anna. Funny how dinner with friends plus kids is so different…and noisy. Miles started out in a good, giggly mood, but typical of kids his age, he wanted to get up and run around. After about half an hour, he was done with the “Ladies Who Lunch.” Poor Candi spent most of the rest of the evening outside calming the storm. But, by the time she was ready to leave, Miles was all smiles and kisses again.

Maggie’s little Anna was cute as a button, even in her baby helmet 🙂 Apparently a fairly common ailment, as an infant she was favoring one side to lay on, and her poor little head got a little flat on one side. Hence the helmet, which over the course of about five months or so, has completely fixed her up. Course, with those pretty blue eyes, she looks adorable wearing anything. But I’m sure both she and her parents will be glad to bid adieu to what probably looks like over-protective parenting. Maggie says the funniest comment she received was from some lady who said, “Was that baby in a football game?” Wha? Some people are so weird.
