The Boys

James and I spent our holiday weekend in Springfield, IL, visiting with his dad, brother, sister-in-law, and their adorable sons Brady and Devin. We mostly relaxed, ate some cooked out food, ignored the fireworks, and played with the boys. The only painful part of the visit was the drive to and from — it’s about 5 and a half hours, and the Fit is not known for it’s comfortable seats.

Speaking of the Fit, my “Boo-berry” has earned a second nickname. I was telling Jill the other day about fitting that 52″ TV in the back, and she exclaimed, “It’s like the Tardis! It’s bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. And it’s even blue!” For those uninitiated, the Tardis is the Police-Box-shaped time machine Dr. Who uses for all of his adventures. I know, it’s dorky. But with Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, and Star Wars on my list of obsessions, it was only a matter of time before I’d add this show to my favorites.

  1. Dear God!

False Advertising! I was not aware you were this big of a dork when I married you. Seriously.

True, but you knew that going in. You on the other hand have gotten dorkier the longer we have been married.
