Liam 5 monthsLiam finally got in for his 4-month wellness visit…he’ll be five months next wednesday, but whatever. We saw a different doc, and he was fantastic. Liam’s progressing along nicely, weighing in at a chunky monkey 14 pounds, 5 ounces, and measuring 24.5 inches tall. He’s still smaller than average, but quickly catching up. (going from the 5th percentile to the 17th percentile). Then came the shots…three in all, and of course he screamed through them. Poor lil’ guy! I gave him a dose of Tylenol before we got there, something my mom-in-law recommended. So far no fevers, but his left leg swelled a bit, so our nanny gave him another dose this afternoon. He’s peacefully sleeping now. I think I’m going to try starting a little bedtime routine…up until now he just kind of conks out around 10 or 11, and if I try and get him to bed earlier, he wakes up and wants to eat again. I’m thinking bath, massage, diaper, PJs, book, bottle and bed. We’ll see how it goes tonight.

  1. Aww. Shots for babies break my heart. I think I would have to leave the room. Good luck on establishing a bedtime routine. You can do it!
