A headstart on swim lessons

July 18, 2010 at 4:20 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

Liam liked the beach so much, I decided to sign him up for Waterbabies, a swim lesson course for toddlers. I think they mostly just sit in the water and play. But since the pools around here don’t open until 1 PM, and he naps from 1:30 – 4:00, this might be his best opportunity to get in some play time in the toddler pool. Lessons start August 2nd at 9 AM. It’s been so warm here lately, I’m not too concerned that the pool will be too cold at that ungodly hour. Wish us luck!

  1. He naps for 2 1/2 hours? How do you get him to do that! Loved your beach video, I’ll show it to Susan. She & Doug are taking Ruthanne to the family vacation home in the outer banks next month. The baby signs: more, done, bottle, up, bye and a few more things that we don’t know what they mean. It is a lot of fun trying to communicate with a baby!! She started walking at 9 months, Grandma is TIRED after a day of babysitting. Hope to see you when you come back to town. Thanks for all of the updates.

  2. Two short naps morphed into one long nap at around 15 months. I’m loving it. Liam can sign “eat” now, though he needs some prompting to use his signs these days. Mostly he just yelps and points. I can’t believe Ruthanne is walking so early! We’ll definitely need to catch up when I’m there in September 😉
