Taming of the Mop

Today I was in Bethesda getting an oil change, and we stopped in at Kidville for Liam’s hair cut. The last two times were quite traumatic – screaming, flailing, and carrying on – and I was hoping it would go better at a different place. The hairdresser this time seemed much more comfortable cutting kid’s hair. He had his choice of sitting in a little fire truck or airplane – he picked fire truck because it had a bell to ring. She waited until he’d gotten used to her, got out some toys to distract him, gave him a lollipop, then started cutting around his ears. He didn’t much care for the lolly, but he did like the cymbals. She also put on a cartoon, which seemed to catch his interest a little more this time. He did start to cry and wanted me to hold him at the end, but in no time she was done. This went so much better than last time, I think we’ll be coming back here. It was even the same price as the other place!

Check out more photos I took this week.
