Liam’s Bedtime Story

Every night I read Liam three books. And without fail, after I’ve tucked him in and turned out the light, he cries out, “Now tell me a story!” Then he’ll tell me precisely what the story should be about. It always stars Liam, who is four and a half years old (or whatever age he happens to be at the telling), and his best friend, Curious George. They’ve had many adventures this past year – flying in a hot air balloon, exploring a cave, riding the Metro in D.C. – but what is most amusing now is that Liam does most of the storytelling. After inventing a particularly detailed story about riding the Metro from Silver Spring to Union Station with Jeanie and Curious George, I grabbed my iPhone and told him we’d be telling TWO stories tonight. Here’s what he came up with.
